New Apex Legends Update
Apex Legends 2.0 is reportedly in development, potentially using Unreal Engine 5. This upgrade may introduce destructible environments, improved audio, new movement mechanics, and volumetric effects like fog and smoke. These changes are inspired by EA’s Battlefield franchise, which shares developers.
There are two new BR maps in development—one possibly optimized for the new engine. Fade and Rhapsody, two legends from Apex Mobile, are being tested for the main game, and the multiverse theme in Season 23 might bring them into the core experience. EA also plans to relaunch Apex Legends Mobile, fully integrated with the main game via cross-progression.
Rumors also suggest Blisk may become a playable legend, with several abilities being tested, including a double jump, specter squad, and zone control ultimate.
